A donation of the stone sculpture by Cecilia Marcovich entitled "Desnudo femenino" ("Female Nude") is added to the patrimony of Museo de Artes Plásticas Eduardo Sívori .

"We commemorate Women's International Day with the announcement of the donation of a sculpture by this great pioneer in the art world."

What do we see when we are confronted with certain works? Are some stories made visible and others hidden beneath the surface?

Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires, presents an overview of CECILIA MARCOVICH's life during one of four programmed in-depth sessions that analyzes works by different women artists and their role in the development of art history. Each session offers a brief behind-the-scenes glimpse of exhibited works by women artists, highlighting the social imaginaries that surrounded them and their assigned roles..

The first session centered on Cecilia Marcovich's work took place on December 27, 2023.
